You will have the opportunity to speak with professionals at different levels, allowing familiarization with the firm’s auditing, tax, and management consulting departments. Development Workshops – Throughout the year, Firms will present interactive workshops to help answer commonly asked questions, such as: “What should I say to a recruiter? What should I wear to a firm event? How do I sign-up for interviews?” Participation in these workshops will help you learn business etiquette and networking skills while also getting to know your fellow Accounting Association members. Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) – In the Fall, Accounting Association members assist in the preparation of tax returns for low-income families in the Columbus community.

Winter Quarter Internship Night - The Department of Accounting co-sponsors this informative event to aid students in the internship/job search within public accounting. After that, everyone enjoys refreshments as companies set up booths and are available to ask questions to, network with, and to learn about their firms. KPMG

The
Fall Banquet - This is the Accounting
Association's largest event. All companies and firms that have a relationship
with the Accounting Association are invited to attend this networking event.
The event starts with a social hour for students to mingle and network with
accounting professionals. Then there is a formal dinner served, and students
are seated at tables with company representatives of their choice in order to
allow for more in depth conversations than during the social hour. There is
always either a speaker or some other form of entertainment that follows the
dinner. In addition, an award is given to the outstanding member of the
organization. All representatives receive a book containing the resumes of
all Accounting Association members. Holiday Charity Event – More info TBA
