Chapter History:
Beta Alpha Psi was founded in 1919 at the University of Illinois. Our chapter of Beta Alpha Psi is the Omicron chapter. We were founded in 1929 -- the 15th chapter founded. We are currently the 13th oldest still active. Over 200,000 members have been initiated worldwide into Beta Alpha Psi. Currently there are 245 full chapters and 16 petitioning chapters worldwide.
Our chapter provides its membership opportunities to enrich their accounting knowledge and challenge their thinking. A high level of participation by all members at chapter events is critical to the chapter's success. Members are expected to interact with speakers and attend all events.
Chapter Awards:
The Omicron chapter has been recognized numerous times as an award-winning chapter by the international office of Beta Alpha Psi. Most recently, our chapter was awarded superior status for the 2003-2004 school year.
