Fisher Consulting Association

Introduction
The Fisher Consulting Association is your window into the realm of consulting. Through interactions with students, faculty members and Industry leaders, FCA aims to introduce students to various career options in the Consulting Industry and a chance to network and learn through interactions with experts in the consulting industry. If you are interested in learning more about the consulting space, and networking with leaders in this industry, you are at the right place!

Events:
  • Case Study Workshops:
  • One of the best methods of studying business, the case study approach is used as the basis for various consulting competitions and will be a common methodology for course lectures as well. Last year we had Accenture coach our members with strategies for Cracking the Case!

  • Industry Speakers:
  • The best way to know what a job profile actually means is to talk to the person who has been there… done that… Speaker sessions aim at doing just that, besides offering the opportunity to network with the industry leaders.

  • Student Interaction Sessions:
  • Confused about what are the interesting courses that will help you achieve your desired goals for the MBA? Or if you want to know what their internships were like, this forum has been designed to help you with these issues besides knowing and building relationships with (future) alumni of The Fisher College of Business!

In Their Words
I found the FCA events as well organized and informative in terms of giving insights into the consulting world and cementing my interest in the field. These events also provided plenty of opportunities to network with the industry professionals, including fisher alumni, and gain in-depth knowledge about their experiences. The case interview sessions were very helpful in preparing for interviews for summer internships. We don’t have the Strategy core course until the Spring Quarter and the FCA workshops provided the first exposure to different frameworks and approaches to crack a case. I would highly recommend the first year students, who are interested in pursuing a career in consulting, to join FCA.
