"As trade grows in importance, so does its contribution to the creation and maintenance of jobs. In the US, over seven million jobs are supported by merchandise exports. Around one-third of all jobs created in the US over the last ten years or so are due to increased merchandise exports..."
These are the words of Mr. Renato Ruggiero (the World Trade Organization Director-General) at the American Business Council address, in Williamsburg Virginia, on October 14, 1995. Indeed, international trade is becoming increasingly important to the American economy.
However, the jobs created by these increases require special skills. Do you have the skills to succeed in the dynamic and challenging environment of international business?
The members of the International Business Club (IBC) recognize the need to complement the theory taught in school by giving students the opportunity to learn international business from those who practice it.
