Indian MBA Association
Introduction
The Indian MBA Association (IMBAA) provides a platform for continuous dialogue and interaction among members with a goal of improving student life and enabling career opportunities for its members. The IMBAA will act as an interconnecting system for students to network and create an environment that will help in enriching students’ Fisher experience. It is an effort to make the first year students’ transition to Columbus and to Fisher as smooth as possible. Although we are called the Indian MBA Association, membership is open to all and diversity is encouraged.

UTSAV, the flagship event of the IMBAA, is a celebration of everything Indian: Bollywood, Bharatnatyam, Bindis and Biryani! One of the most awaited events at Fisher, UTSAV showcases the talents of our very own Fisher students, be it dancing on bollywood medleys or sashaying down in beautiful Indian clothes. A fun event for both participants and the audience, finished up with sumptuous Indian food!

We at the IMBAA understand the difficulties international students may face in their internship/job search. It is our effort to guide you and arm you with the best advice possible by bringing alumni working in the industry to interact with you and give you a chance to network with them.
Interaction with students begins with our information session to be held on the 24th of September. This will be followed by informal meetings with student members to address any issues and answer any queries. A formal meeting is also tentatively scheduled for the end of winter quarter to talk about electives, majors, etc. IMBAA also plans to bring together the Indian community and other students interested in Indian culture during important Indian festivals.

The students at the IMBAA provided invaluable advice to me concerning elective choices, majors, networking opportunities, etc. They are always there to help and support you as they understand what you are going through and empathize with you. In fact they continue to provide guidance even after they have graduated from Fisher and are in other cities. I also very much enjoyed participating in UTSAV. I understand the challenges the IMBAA must have gone through to put together such a big event, coordinating practices among big groups, etc, but in the end it was worth all the time and effort that went into it.
